By far this is better than any department store brand. I am in the line of skin care. I worked for two very well to do cosmetic lines and firmly believed in there skin care at first, but now since I have tried Oil of Olay products my skin has improved dramatically. I have always taken great care of my skin. I suffer from oily skin, rosacea, and acne. This is by far the best line I have ever used. This cream is wonderful. Usually when you suffer from oily acne prone skin you can't use a cream on your skin. But with this product you most certainly can. It helps combat the oil while providing hydration and uva/uvb protection. Along with the cream, I also use the Oil of Olay astrigent and the Cleanser for sensitive skin. The appearance of my skin is much improved. I no longer suffer from the above concerns. I also use the Oil of Olay regenerist Microderm set and I am about to order the Regenerist serum for face and eyes.....I give this line 10 stars.

This is a nice light cream to wear under makeup for UVA/UVB protection. It also has a nice light scent. I hope it really does offer protection from sun damage.

Background: 28 years old, Hispanic, olive skin tone (think Jessica Alba), normal to oily skin.

My friend, who was recently training to receive her master's esthetician license, needed dummies to perform facials on while she was in Skincare School. Free facials? That's a no brainer. I was happy to volunteer to get my first lactic peel. The peel was great and afterward the instructor encouraged me to purchase a moisturizer with an SPF of at least 30 (because really bad things can happen to your fresh new skin if you don't protect it). I was running low on Neutrogena anyway and I wanted to support my friend, so I said, sure why not. The school is a distributor of Image products, so I decided to buy the Image Daily Defense Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30. HA! I was so blown away! This moisturizer is BY FAR the BEST moisturizer I have ever used!!! As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, I've always had very oily skin on my face-I use powder paper regularly during the day to press off the shine. Because of that I've never used a moisterizer and only wore sunscreen if I were on a beach vacation or some such--it just felt gross to rub in a cream on my fresh clean face and it usually made my eyes water. But now that I'm in my mid-40's I made a resolution to try to wear sunscreen every day in 2012 (a friend talked me into it). So after trying 2 other oily skin versions (one drugstore variety, one from a dermatologist) and not being particularly thrilled with either one another friend gave me the end of a tube of Image Daily Defense Matte that she'd gotten at a spa and I credit this product for being able to keep my resolution (6+ months and counting)! I guess I started using this at the wrong time in the year. My skin was very dry from acne medications and it was the middle of the winter. This gave me NO moisture, I did not see any improvement in my skin tone. My acne marks were taking forever to heal. Applying my foundation was difficult because my skin was so dry yet sticky from the lotion. And the strong smell is completely unnecessary. Not for someone with sensitive or combination skin. Maybe this would work for oily skin in the summer. For the price I paid for the small tube and the rave reviews above, I was expecting something great. This did NOT deliver.

I've been using Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion along with Moisture On-Call for years. This winter has been especially brisk, so my skin was still dry no matter how much product I put on.

This weekend, I saw the Olay at my local warehouse store (3.4fl oz/100ml size) and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the results! My skin now feels soft and moisturized. I will continue using this product because it is fragrance free (so is Clinique), but in additon: oil-free and has SPF-15.

I used this morning cream along with their night cream.

problem:
I'm a 65 yo male that has always had a ruddy complexion. I wore a cervical neck collar for about 6 years, plus losing about 100 pounds about 2 years ago. My neck was an over abundance of loose saggy skin.

I used both the day and night creams. I just wiped it on w/o paying much attention to how I did it.

RESULT after 1 month:
Nearly all that saggy neck skin tightened. It unbelievable.

I've received comments from three different people who commented, "you look great - what have you done to your face and neck!" THAT SAYS IT ALL>

I'll definitely reorder these two products.

I had severe acne as a teenager and now that I'm in my 30's I have an occasional breakout. I would always read in the beauty magazines that you should apply a moisturizer on your face but I was reluctant because of my acne-prone skin. I'm not sure why I decided to give Olay Total Effects a try but I am so glad I did. I have been using it every day for over a year now. It does not make my skin breakout at all (a big plus in my book). It makes my skin very smooth and gives me that "dewy" look. It also helps my foundation look more natural looking because the moisturizer is so hydrating. I also like the fact that it protects my skin from the sun.

I would definately recommend this product to anyone looking for a moisturizer. Despite it's high price (compared to other brands) it's definately worth it.
